At Valor Outdoor Foundation, overlanding is more than a rugged adventure, it’s a path to healing, camaraderie, and renewed purpose for our nation’s veterans.

Through professionally guided off-road trips, we reconnect servicemembers with the outdoors, creating space for resilience, recovery, and unforgettable memories. Our nonprofit proudly provides all overland trips at no cost to the veterans and their families we serve. Whether you’re riding with us in one of our foundation built vehicles or driving your own off-road rig, our mission is to ensure every warrior has the opportunity to experience the backcountry with confidence and community. Food will be provided for everyone on the trip, and for those who bring their own vehicles, we also cover fuel costs. No red tape, no gimmicks, just support and adventure.

Our trips are open to all types of capable vehicles, from four wheel drive Subarus and stock SUVs to fully built custom off-road rigs. Trail difficulty will range from easy scenic routes to technical, advanced terrain, and we tailor each trip to ensure there’s a challenge and a reward for everyone, no matter the setup or skill level. Our fleet is growing rapidly. We’re currently building a fully outfitted Ford Excursion overlander, purpose built for comfort, capability, and long haul trail duty. Soon, we’ll be adding a 6x6 military truck, built to haul gear and veterans deep into Colorado’s high country and beyond. Looking forward, one of our most exciting goals is developing an adaptive vehicle designed specifically for wheelchair bound veterans, allowing every warrior the chance to hit the trails regardless of mobility. These vehicles aren’t just machines, they’re a symbol of freedom, and they’ve been brought to life through both your donations and the inspired vision of our team. Our concept renderings reflect the mission in motion.

Every trip includes more than just driving. We offer fly fishing, hiking, wilderness skill building, and all around trail fun. From gentle forest service roads to advanced rock crawling, our trips are designed to accommodate every experience level, and every veteran who signs up as a member is welcome to attend.

In the future, our goal is to raise enough funding to create a trail repair fund. If a veteran breaks something on their vehicle during a run, we want to be able to step in and cover the cost of parts, ensuring no one is left behind or sidelined due to financial hardship. Because when we say "no cost to you," we mean all the way, before, during, and after the trail.
